Product Description
Region : The AOC Reuilly is located on the banks of a tributary of the Cher, called Arnon. It is an area of 190 hectares and its production is 9000 hl/year.
The climate of this vineyard area is semi-continental, with a lot of microclimates, which promotes good ripening of the grapes. The AOC Reuilly is set in a landscape of gentle slopes with calcareous clay soil topped with sand and gravel terraces.
Originally this AOC was created to produce quality wines from pinot gris. Rosés and reds are made from Pinot Noir, with sometimes a little bit of pinot gris.
Reuilly wines have been produced since the 7th century.

Features : 12 % alcohol. Contains sulfites.
Cultural method : The vineyard is covered with grass. Guyot pruning with 6 to 7 buds maximum left on the wand.
Winemaking : Harvesting is done manually in late September.
Manual selection before de-stemming. Pre-fermentated maceration at a low temperature for 4-5 days (8 °C).
Alcoholic fermentation at 22 ºC for 3 weeks with submerged pomace. Daily pumping over during the first 2 weeks.
Racking and malolactic fermentation in barrels.
Aged for 10 to 12 months in 300 liter barrels, which are renewed by thirds every year.
The Colour : Ruby red.
The Smell : Aromas of red fruits, mainly strawberry and raspberry, with slightly woody smoky notes. Aromas of cooked red fruits. Sensation of roundness and finesse.
The Taste : Flexible with a sharp fruity attack. The tannins are present, soft and round. Very good harmony of tannin and fruit. The taste finishes with notes of red berries and smoke. Non-astringent, elegant tannins. Good persistence.
Serving Suggestions :
Red meat with mushroom sauce.
To serve at 15-16 °C
Aging Capacity : 5 to 7 years
