Region : The Cognac AOC covers an area in Charente-Maritime, a large part in Charente and some areas in Dordogne. The terroir consists of plains and hills with gentle slopes at a low altitude. The 74,500 hectares of vineyards produce more than 508 000 hectoliters of pure alcohol each year.

The Château de Beaulon is situated in the cru Fin Bois. The Cognac from this cru is round and flexible, and ages faster than in other Cognac areas. Its bouquet has the scent of freshly pressed grapes.

Winemaking : For the last 40 years Christian THOMAS, owner of Chateau de Beaulon, has personally overseen the distillation in the Estate’s private distillery; using the wealth of knowledge passed down through generations to obtain the most complex aromas.

Double Distillation (re-run) on lees in small traditional pot-stills in the Beaulon distillery.

Exclusively in Limousine oak barrels, average grain, average toasting. Kept in 34 litre size glass demijohns.

Predominantly a rare selection of the oldest eaux-de-vie from Château de Beaulon Paradise Cellar from the years 1904, 1907 and 1914.

The Colour : Deep copper robe, glistening reflections.

The Smell : Complex aromas, exotic wood, chocolate, mocha, dried fruits.
