Product Description

Region : The Anjou wine area, which is South of the Loire, near Angers, is characterized by the diversity of its soils and its controlled protected appellations (AOP). It lies at the junction between the sedimentary Parisian basin (former geological sea) characterized by white and crumbly rocks, and the Armorican massif containing black and hard rock. With its 2,400 Ha, annual production can reach 135,000 Hl.

Density of Planting : 5000 vines/ha

Features : 12,5 > 13,5% alcohol, less than 2g/L of residual sugar. Contains SO2

Cultural method : The spaces in between the rows of vines are covered with grass. Use of treatements is well-planned and reduced to a minimum with the aim of preserving the quality of the grapes. Mechanical harvest.

Winemaking : 3 weeks maceration. Matured in stainless tanks.

The Colour : Deep garnet red

The Smell : Particularly expressive smell with the fragrance of spices.

The Taste : A beautiful balanced structure in which red and black berries mingle elegantly.

Serving Suggestions : Gastronomic wine, this wine goes well with meat or game dishes in sauce, as well as soft cheeses. Serve at 14-15 °C.

Aging Capacity : This wine is ready to be drunk but can be kept 10-15 years.
