Region : Wines from the hills of Giennois are produced in the departments of Loiret and Nièvre, which are located in the region Centre. The lands are infuence by an oceanic climate. The Giennois vineyard, which is 200 hectares, is based on two distinct soils, separated by the “fault of Cosne”. In the North the soils are composed of clays, silicas and sometimes limestone. They are located on the area of Briare in Gien. In the South, vineyards are based on calcareous white soil called Caillottes, with siliceous deposits.

Winemaking : Harvesting is done mechanically. Destemming of grapes is done. Maceration for 10 days with 2 pumping overs per day until racking. Raised for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

The Colour : Ruby hues.

The Smell : Aromas of red and black fruits are accompanied by a spicy touch.

The Taste : It is a light and fruity wine. Soft in attack, supple on the palate, natural tannins reveal a good maturity, without excess.

Serving Suggestions : This wine will accompany your charcuterie platters, grilled meat or goat cheese.

Serve at 12 to 14 °C.
