Product Description
Region : The AOC Montlouis-sur-Loire is in the Touraine appellation area, and bordered by two rivers the Loire and the Cher. This appelation covered 380 hectares and reaches an annual production of 16 800 hectoliters.
On this uniform South oriented vineyard with plateaus and gently sloping hills, the only variety used in the production of dry white wines, semi-dry or sweet, is the chenin.

Type of Soil : The soil is composed of clay and flint stone. The base consists of Lime stone “Tuffeau”.

Features : 12 % alcohol, residual sugar < 2 g/l, total acidity 4 g/l.
Biodynamic. Contains sulfites.
Cultural method : The vineyard is biodynamic. No use of chemical products. The soils are plowed. Honey plants and nematicides are sown in the ranks. The preparations used are only from plant, animal and mineral materials. Harvest is done manually.
Winemaking : After pressing, the alcoholic fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels of 600 liters in capacity. Fermentation can last up to six months. No malolactic fermentation. The bottles are on laths at least 12 months.
The Colour : Pale gold, fine bubbles.
The Smell : White flower aromas.
The Taste : Citrus notes, with a nice minerality.

7 to 9 °C.

4 to 5 years.
