Product Description
Region : The AOC Reuilly is located on the banks of a tributary of the Cher, called Arnon. It is an area of 190 hectares and its production is 9000 hl/year.The climate of this vineyard area is semi-continental, with a lot of microclimates, which promotes good ripening of the grapes. The AOC Reuilly is set in a landscape of gentle slopes with calcareous clay soil topped with sand and gravel terraces.
Originally this AOC was created to produce quality wines from pinot gris. Rosés and reds are made from Pinot Noir, with sometimes a little bit of pinot gris. Reuilly wines have been produced since the 7th century.

Type of Soil : Gravelly sandy soil on old alluvium. Very sensitive to drought with early potential.

Features : 12,5 % alcohol. Contains sulfites.
Cultural method : Guyot simple pruning. This early and very productive plot receives all the care for the development of a high quality vintage. Maximal disbudding is done along with leaf removal and tillage.
Winemaking : Harvesting takes place in mid-October. De-stemming and crushing. Maceration of 8 to 12 hours in the press to extract maximum aromatic precursors. Low pressure pressing when removing the last juice. Settling, not too tight (150 NTU), to retain the benefits of skin maceration. Fermentation thermo-regulated at 16-17 °C during 20 days maximum.
Racking after alcoholic fermentation. Sulfiting without aeration, 7g of sulfites are added per hectoliter. Matured in oak barrels for about 1 year.
The Colour : Brilliant pale gold.
The Smell : Aromas of ripe fruit, notes of vanilla and licorice.
The Taste : Round and full mouth, good balance. A long finish with notes of honey and nougat.
Serving Suggestions :
As an aperitif or with white meat or goat cheese.
Serve at 10-12 °C.
