Region : Alsace, Haut-Rhin. Situed inTurckheim. The city of Turckheim enjoys remarkable sunshine because of its South and South-East exposure. It rises to an altitude of 343 m. Resting on a granite substrate, with two different kind of mica, the area offers sandy and coarse soil. The very homogenous granitic nature and the excellent exposure of the soil greatly favor Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer, which cover about 57,95 ha. The pride of the village is the Grand Cru Brand.

Winemaking : Wine making with qualitative selections, soft pressing, thermoregulation. Charles Schleret was a forerunner in modern vinification with temperature control, and knew how to use this approach to preserve the intense, fresh aromas of his wines. Maturing occures in stainless steal tanks and conservation under neutral gas.

The Colour : Golden crystalline dress with silver highlights.

The Smell : Aromas of an orchard (apricot, plum and pear). Hints of orange zest, acacia flower but also mineral and slightly iodized scents.

The Taste : A rich, fine and fleshy wine. Aromas of poached pear, baked apple, and almond-flavored cream.

Serving Suggestions : This Reisling will go well with any oily and fleshy fish.
